French Onion Beef Casserole

In the event that our bustling lives mean full dinners are including less and less at home, why not join two into one? This healthy stew is a balance of soup and primary.

Fixings

• 30g margarine

• 1.5kg hamburger throw, cut into 5cm pieces

• ¼ cup plain flour

• ½ cup white wine

• 2 narrows leaves


• 6 branches thyme, in addition to 2 extra twigs to serve

• 1 tsp salt

• 2 liters great quality hamburger stock


• 1.5kg earthy colored onions, stripped and thickly cut

• 1 roll, cut into 3cm thick cuts

• 1 garlic clove, divided


• 2 cups ground cheddar

Technique

Warmth an enormous Dutch broiler over medium warmth and include the margarine. Hurl the meat in the flour and fry in clusters until seared everywhere. Deglaze the base of the pot with the white wine and return the meat to the pot.


Include the straight leaves, thyme, salt and hamburger stock and stew, secured for 60 minutes. After the hamburger has been stewing for 30 minutes, heat an enormous skillet over low-medium warmth and include the onions.


Cook the onions, mixing once in a while, for 30-40 minutes until they are all around caramelized. Deglaze the onion container with a tad bit of the stew fluid and add the onions to the pot with the hamburger. Spread and keep on stewing for until the meat is delicate, around 30 minutes.


Warmth your stove flame broil to 200oC. Mastermind the roll on a preparing sheet and rub the bread with the garlic. Toast one side of the loaf under the flame broil, at that point turn over, dissipate the opposite side with cheddar, and barbecue until the cheddar is dissolved and foaming. Spread the whole surface of the stew with cuts of the gooey bread and serve right away.
